Sometimes it’s the theme tune of a series that is rememberd instead of its content.
The Yorkshire Television series ‘Farmhouse kitchen' is a case in point.
It was  was a cookery series that aired on the ITV network from 1971 until 1989.  Initially presented by Dorothy Sleightholme and later by Grace Mulligan.
The programme, was transmitted  weekly and generally on weekday afternoons.  Intended for the housewive audience, it strived  to instruct its viewers by presenting visual demonstrations of traditional British cookery as well as offering frugal ways to feed a family on limited resources.
Yorkshire Television published a number of cookbooks containing recipes from the show.

After Dorothy Sleightholme was killed in a car accident, Grace Mulligan took over.

On occasion, celebrity guest cooks were invited onto the programme, and the audience was also encouraged to send in their own recipes, which would then be demonstrated on the programme.
